Widget Guide
Help Icon
Click this to bring up a help window. For this first release, the basic help file you are reading now will come up. For future releases, help files will be specific to the widget you are working with.
Options Icon
Future Direct releases and new widgets may have options you can configure by clicking this icon.
Minimize/Maximize Icon
Toggle this icon to minimize a widget to just its header or maximize it.
Close Icon
You can “close” your widget without permanently removing it from your Direct. Clicking the X icon will close the widget and move it to the widget dock in the left column. To reopen your widget, just click on it in the widget dock, or drag it into Direct to place it wherever you want.
Dragging Widgets
Arrange your widgets anyway you like by dragging them around the Direct page. Just grab a widget’s header with your mouse and move it where you it works best for you! You can also “dock” your widgets to the side when you are not using them by clicking the “X” icon. To undock your widgets, just drag them back into the main area of the page, or click on the widget name.
Widget Sizes
Most widgets can be seen in three different sizes:
Single-wide
Single wide widget is the most narrow of the three widget sizes. Two single wide widgets can display side by side.
Double-wide
The double wide widget fills the entire width of the widget area.
Full Screen
The full screen widget fills the entire width and height of the widget area.
You can work within any size, but some widgets are best viewed in full screen view. When you click the full screen icon at the bottom of your widget, the other widgets will disappear from your Direct frame so that you can focus on the widget you’re working with. Just click the full screen icon again and the widget will snap back to the previous size and your other widgets will be viewable again.
