For each contest, your costs include an Administration fee and the 1st Place Prize amount related to the type of contest you choose.
The Min Prize is the smallest amount (in US Dollars) you will need to pay to own the the winning submission. This contest variable is one of the key leverage points you have to attract interest in your contest and encourage more participation by members. Learn more about pricing strategies here. You can increase this number at any time until the end of the contest. You pay this fee only when you pick and want to download the winner.
The Admin fee, 20 percent of the Prize amount (up to $250), is the cost is paid by you to cover TopCoder's expenses and to fund our Studio Cup, a pool of money awarded to members who submit high-quality work across many contests. This fee is non-negotiable and non-refundable. If you do not like any submissions and choose no winners for your contest, you can relist your contest at no cost by contacting TopCoder.
The cost to purchase additional submissions (beyond your winning submission) is 50 percent of your Winning Prize amount.
Studio Cup points are not paid by you. TopCoder uses the Admin fee to fund this pool of money awarded monthly to members who submit high-quality work across many contests.
