We are a free, virtual Community of individuals who are fiercely competitive and incredibly supportive. Our members join Topcoder to improve their skills, demonstrate their expertise, and earn money—all while helping real-world organizations solve real business problems.
Why Freelance with Us
There are many ways to live the freelance, Topcoder lifestyle, but if you’re after a steady income and a traditional workweek, our freelance gigs are the way to go. Check out the gigs and apply for the one you want to do. There is no bidding for a project and no proposals are needed. If you have the skills, you’re a fit. If you need to refine or grow your skills, we’ve got options there for you as well.
The weekly payment comes through us right to you and the rates of up to $1,500/week are incomparable elsewhere. It’s also remiss to not mention the flexibility. Our flexible gigs are remote working at its finest. No need to relocate, go into an office, or commit to a full time, permanent job.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Become a member
It’s free and quick. This gets you into our system so we can collect your skills and pay you. Already a member? Awesome, move on to step 2.
2. Fill out your Topcoder profile
Complete your profile to the best of your ability. Your skills, your location, your devices, etc, all help you improve your chances of being selected for a gig.
3. APPLY FOR A GIG
Go to our Gig Work opportunities page and peruse the Gigs. You can search for a technology or scroll through them all. If you don’t see anything immediately, apply for our General Intake of Gig Work form. As long as you apply through this or any Gig, we’ve got you in our system and can reach out if there is anything that suits your skillset.
While You Wait
Check out our Topcoder challenges and participate. Challenges showing your technology skills make you a “qualified” candidate so we know you’re good. The proof is in the pudding!
