March 5, 2018 TCO18 Marathon & Algorithm Competitions Announced

We are excited to announce all the Marathon and Algorithm Competitions details for the 2018 Topcoder Open!

Here are the top updates:

• The Marathon Competition will have 4 online rounds for competitors to earn points
• The winner of each Marathon Round will win a trip to the TCO18 Finals
• The Algorithm Competition format has changed – the amount of rounds is the same but the format has been altered. One round 4 will be the determining factor for the finalists.
• The Algorithm Competition will have 16 finalists – 14 from the online rounds and 2 from the online wildcard round of our regional event winners.

Round dates for each competition are now posted so save the dates! We’ve also added them to the event calendar for more visibility.
Our next SRM is on Saturday, March 17 so be sure to compete so you could be eligible for one of the byes to round 2.
