Appium is an open source test automation framework and is one of the most sought after skills from Topcoder customers as they look to ramp-up and scale enterprise-wide automation initiatives. Through this Topcoder Challenge Series, we want to help prepare you and provide you with challenge and gig opportunities as we see the increasing demand from customers for this powerful and open-source technology. Topcoder Members learning Appium will enable customers to build and execute test scripts for native, hybrid, and mobile web applications on Android, iOS using a WebDriver protocol.

Challenges

This challenge series will kick off with a couple of educational challenges for you to jump into at any time will follow-up real use case challenges to improve your skills.

PRIZES

The Appium Learning Series will run for 6 weeks. Each week we will be awarding cash prizes to 5 unique submitters (randomly selected) in that particular week. Get onboard now and complete learning challenge that will benefit you in future challenges and help qualify you for Topcoder gig opportunities.

After completing the learning challenge: “Appium - Learning Series - Setup Development Environment”, earn cash reward by competing in beginner, advanced, and expert use case challenges that will have you solving interesting automation challenges.

About APPIUM

Appium is built on the idea that testing native apps shouldn’t require including an SDK or recompiling your app; and that you should be able to use your preferred test practices, frameworks, and tools. Appium is an open source project and has made design and tool decisions to encourage a vibrant contributing community.

Appium aims to automate any mobile app from any language and test framework, with full access to back-end APIs and DBs from test code. You can write tests with your favorite dev tools using any programming languages listed below (Python, JavaScript, Java, Ruby, PHP, C#), and probably more (with the Selenium WebDriver API and language-specific client libraries).
