Welcome to the topcoder Arena Donuts4Ideas Retractable Banner and TableCloth Design Challenge.

At TCO14 we want to do a station for people to provide ideas for the topcoder arena application. We will have a table with boxes of doughnuts and a laptop where everyone can enter an idea to improve topcoder arena application.
Help us to design topcoder Arena Donuts4Ideas Retractable Banner and TableCloth that will be used on TCO14 event. Your design should compliment the visual style of the topcoder arena application so everything appears unified.

The goal of this challenge is to design the topcoder Arena Donuts4Ideas Retractable Banner and TableCloth that will be used on TCO14 event.

1. Retractable Banner Design Requirements
- Your design must be exactly 31.5" (width) x 80" (height)
- Use attached Retractable_Banner_Stand_SpecTemplate.eps as base of your design
- Bleed Line: Your background colors or designs should go to the edge of the template document.
- Safety Line : All text, logos, or other important aspects of your document that you DON’T want cut should be inside the safety line indicated by the green line
- Fonts are open to the designers. Please be aware of font delivery requirements.
- Colors should complement the main colors for the topcoder arena application.
- "Donuts4Ideas" should be the main attraction on the design. Design a graphic that will easily deliver the message to viewers.
- We want to show something around how fun the arena is and how much we love it. Here are some ideas:
-- Play with the rating formulas in this page
-- My rating is bigger than yours.
-- I'd rather be winning in the arena.
-- Hold my beer. Coding phase is starting!
-- I was winning at the arena before it was cool.
-- Thousands of coders enter, one coder leaves.
- Note: Suggest other better wording!
- Need show topcoder Arena logo in banner design.
- Remember all original graphics need resizable!

2. TableCloth Banner Design Requirements
- Your design must be exactly 152" (width) x 86" (height)
- Use attached tableCloth-Template.eps as base of your design
- Bleed Line: Your background colors or designs should go to the edge of the template document.
- Safety Line : All text, logos, or other important aspects of your document that you DON’T want cut should be inside the safety line indicated by the green line
- "Donuts4Ideas" should be the main attraction on the design. Design a graphic that will easily deliver the message to viewers.
- Also need include the topcoder arena logo
- You need suggest where is the best placement to put graphic. Think about how TableCloth will look when we put on the table.
- Fonts are open to the designers. Please be aware of font delivery requirements.
- Remember all original graphics need resizable!

Creativity - Retractable Banner and TableCloth should be visually exciting and engaging
Quality - The quality of the graphics as well as following the provided guidelines

Preview Image
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place your submissions within it.

Challenge Deliverables
Submission File

All requested challenge Deliverables in JPG or PNG file format in RGB color mode at 72dpi.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design.
Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered AI or EPS or PSD file with 300dpi resolution.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify graphics.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
