Challenge Summary

Welcome to the Document Canvas iPad App Concept Design Challenge

This challenge is to design a iPad app for concept of document canvas where user can interact with salesforce chatter files and organize them into local folders. 

Round 1

Submit your initial screen designs for checkpoint feedback:

1. Chatter Feed Screen (List at least)
2. Document Canvas Screen (Canvas view at least)

Feel free to add any other additional screens which are necessary to explain your concept.
Make sure all pages have correct flow! Use correct file numbering. (00, 01, 02, 03)

Round 2

Submit your final screens with checkpoint feedback:

1. Chatter Feed Screens (All)
2. Document Canvas Screens (All)
3. File Preview Screen

Primary Goals
Salesforce Chatter provides the means for users to communicate with each other in the context of the applications and data central to their work, privately and entirely internal to their team/company. users can attach file to a Chatter post.

This Document Canvas iPad app is to help users interact with Chatter files and organize into local folders.

Generic Requirements:
- iPad portrait(768x1024) only.
- Bear in mind your design should fit Retina well, so keep elements vector shape. Only 1st Place winner is required to submit Retina version in Final Fix.
Don't place your design into an iPad frame / template, need only design the content area.
- No touch targets smaller than Apple recommended sizes (44 px at Std size)
- Adhere to iOS 7 design guidelines.
- Font use Helvetica or Arial

Following screens required: (Take ChatterFilerMockups.pdf as reference, that's just loose mockup and don't try to copy that directly)
1. Chatter Feed Screens
- Top bar (title "Chatter")
- How to navigate? we need way to view document canvas, feed group selection, create new post, username with logout button)
- Current user feed listing recent posts (show loading indicator row at top(not overlay) of list when dragging list downward)
- One post can include 0-2 files.
- How to show different states(not add, downloading,
done and able to view in canvas) for file in post
- Need a way to create new post with attachment(select photo from gallery) to server.

2. Document Canvas Screens
- This view is major view of this app. Document Canvas is one screen to manage any files added in.
- Create/Rename/Delete folder
- How to show folders(with count) and files(new added, in fold)
- Show files with type icon(image,PDF,DOC,PPT,XLS,these 5 types icon are required),name,size
- Drag or how to move files
- Delete any file in any folder

3. File Preview Screen
- Only need design top navigation bar. content can be placeholder.

What to Submit
Preview JPG/PNG Image File
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission ZIP File
All requested contest requirements/screens as JPG or PNG files.

Source ZIP File
All fully editable original source files of the submitted design as required by the contest under "Source Files" in the side bar.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to complete one round of minor changes to ensure your submission meets the stated requirements of this contest. See more information about Final Fixes.

1st Place winner is required to submit Retina version.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
