Challenge Summary
As you may be familiar, there was a contest on Facebook that asked members to come up with a saying or slogan that was Star Wars and Topcoder related. The winner would then have that printed on a t-shirt, but that would be kind of boring. This is where you come in! We need you to design something to go along with this T-shirt.
The winner of this challenge will receive the t-shirt once it is produced.
You may submit up to two times and if you have any questions please post in the forum.
Now let’s get to the details!
This competition will be run as a one-round challenge.
Round One (1)
Submit your final design for review including any notes.
FULL DESCRIPTION & PROJECT GUIDE
This Star Wars themed topcoder shirt will be a limited release so it needs to have a special feel to it. Obviously we don’t want any copyright infringement so refrain from taking images from the internet. We are looking for your creativity, not anyone else's!
T-Shirt Design Requirements
- Think of a t-shirt design that would individually stand out: it could be an illustration, a typographic creation, something witty - it's entirely up to you. Design something that you would want to keep and wear!
- Keep it simple, don't over design it!
- Remember you are designing for print media. This means no gradients and try to stay away from designs that are too intricate, as they would be hard to reproduce on fabric.
- For your t-shirt design you can use all of the front, back, and sleeve of the t-shirt, so be creative with your use of this space!
- The following are the t-shirt colors available to you (i.e. the background of your design)
- Your design must use the topcoder logo(topcoder-new.ai).
- This t-shirt design needs pop! It's going to be a prize for future contest winners who will want to show them off at events like the TCO, so make it something memorable - think and design creatively!
T-Shirt Content
- No generic graphics, make sure there's something meaningful to your design!
- The slogan that must be located on the front of the shirt somewhere is “Do. Or do not. There is no try.” This is a quote by Yoda if that helps.
