Project Overview:
Welcome to the Swiss Post - Manage Tea,/Resource F2F UI Prototype Challenge! The goal of this challenge is to create an HTML5 Prototype based on provided storyboards for Swiss Post using Angular JS and Bootstrap frameworks.
As part of this challenge you will need to document all HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript code. We need clear explanation of the code to help us figure all the HTML5/CSS3/JS code functions and make it easier for future developers and the client to understand what you have built.
NOTE: This application will be using AngularJS Framework (http://angularjs.org, http://docs.angularjs.org/guide) and Bootstrap (http://angular-ui.github.io/bootstrap/). Please follow coding standards and write clean code for AngularJS data binding instead of using plain HTML code.
Tips for Success: Asking questions early and getting Copilot or PM's feedback is very important for the success of this challenge.
Competition Task Overview:
The main task of this competition is to develop HTML5 prototype based on the provided storyboard designs. Your prototype must work properly in all the required browsers, for this challenge we are only focusing on desktop.
- You will build your work based on latest Swiss Post UI Prototpe.
- Please review the new storyboard for that (Storybaord.zip).
Description:
- We pick a team from the dropdown.
- We select/add a user.
- The select box can fuzzy search and groups people by team. (first are the current members of the team selected, then other teams).
- You select a user from the dropdown or just add a new name.
- You select a location (or it is prefilled if the user already exists).
- If the user already exists you have the option to save or delete.
- If its a new user only the save button is visible.
- By handling the modal like this we handle the edit case as another instance of save.
- The delete functionality is handled in a clear way by only displaying it if the action is available.
- Save is only available when you have a valid form configuration (team, person, location).
- On delete a confirmation modal is given. ( Are you sure you want to do this?)
Key Requirements:
- For select boxes please use https://github.com/angular-ui/ui-select.
- For input boxes please use https://github.com/Siyfion/angular-typeahead
- Test in all the required browsers.
- Your pages must match the colors and structure of the provided storyboards.
- Ensure your pages display correctly in all browsers. It is your responsibility to make sure the pages display correctly.
- Ensure you submission clear of HTML5 and CSS3 Validation error and warning.
- Replicate the design of the approved Storyboards (PSD Files) for all pages.
- Background must have covered all browser screen area.
- Provide hover style for any buttons/link etc.
- Make sure all navigation area works in any page.
- All transition, animation for modal window, notification must emphasized great user experience.
- We need clear documentation of the code.
Specific HTML/CSS/JavaScript Requirements:
HTML/CSS Requirements:
- Your HTML code must be valid HTML5 and follow best practices
- Validate your code - reviewers may accept minor validation errors, but please comment your reason for any validation errors. Use the validators listed in the scorecard.
- Use CSS to space out objects, not clear/transparent images (GIFs or PNGs) and use proper structural CSS to layout your page. Only use table tags for tables of data/information and not for page layout.
- No inline CSS styles - all styles must be placed in an external style-sheet.
- Use semantically correct tags - use H tags for headers, etc. Use strong and em tags instead of bold and italic tags.
- Element and Attribute names should be in lowercase and use a "-" or camel naming to separate multiple-word classes (i.e.. "main-content", or "mainContent)
- Label all CSS, JavaScript, or HTML hacks with explanations so others will understand.
- Your code must render properly in all browsers listed in the scorecard in both Mac and PC environments.

- Use font - Arial.

Browsers Requirements:
- IE Browsers (>=9) on PC - (use HTML5shiv to support IE9 version)
- Latest Chrome Browser (>=38) on MAC and PC
- Latest Firefox Browser (>=34) on MAC and PC

- Storyboard (Storybaord.zip).
- Manage Team/Resource Screenshot (Manage Team.zip).

Submission Deliverables:
- A complete list of deliverables can be viewed in the UI Prototype Competitions Tutorial.
Final Submission:
- For each member, the final submission should be uploaded to the Online Review Tool.
