Challenge Summary

In this challenge you will create a two-sided print piece that will be used to market Appirio’s crowdsourcing services.

You will bring together design elements from several existing sources and perform visual updates and copy changes to create the final design.

The original design is attached in the files section [front.pdf] [back.jpg]—you will update the copy and visual look of this content to appear in the visual language of the new Appirio brand. An example of the new Appirio brand is available in the files section [Data Science FAQ.zip/pdf]. In addition to the visual updates, required copy changes are also included in the files section [Appirio One Pager copy updates.docx].

Elements to explore:
Please refer to the updated Appirio style/branding—you’ll need to apply this visual style to your design.

Icons: The new Appirio uses colorful icons to represent categories/ideas. Explore the look and color scheme of the icons on the back page.
Typography: Appirio marketing now uses the Source Sans typeface. All copy should be set in Source but feel free to explore size, placement, etc.
Imagery: We’re looking for new image ideas for the front page:
Group image: Explore different images to represent the crowd community. Focus on diversity; genders, races, etc.
Design/Development/Data Science: Consider new visual approaches for how Appirio can represent these categories.
Header: Use a consistent header on both the front and back of the document.
Footer: Please add a clean, simple footer: Include a link to appirio.com/crowdsourcing. Feel free to explore other elements including title, social links, etc.
Simplify: Remove this section from the back page. Use the additional room to increase the size and prominence of the graphic area.

Elements to retain:
Content: All elements from the original sources must be present in the new design [subject to copy updates]

Elements to update:
Eliminate topcoder logo and name. Update to Appirio branding, colors, typefaces, etc.
Update to new Appirio logo [file]

Design Requirements
8.5” x 11” single sheet. Front and back.
