The Competition

For years Topcoder has pioneered a host of competitive events designed to help sharpen the skills of aspiring programmers. These competitions, while challenging, bring out the best and brightest minds of the coding world. There are two ways to participate in competitive programming at Topcoder: single round matches and marathon matches. Single Round Matches (SRMs) give the competitors three problems with varying degrees of difficulty to solve. Marathon Matches (MMs) have only one problem to solve by which the best idea will be used to remedy said problem. These algorithmic enigmas give you the opportunity to show off your superpowers and propel yourself to greatness. The winners of these matches will go on to be immortalized in the Topcoder realm of excellence, as well as having mega bragging rights! But what if there were more incentives?

The Incentives

Each SRM for divisions 1 and 2: 
1st Place: $75 + t-shirt 
2nd Place:$50 + t-shirt 
3rd Place: $25 + t-shirt

Plus 10 additional t-shirts to randomly selected members who achieved a >0 score for the round.  

For each Marathon Match:
1st Place: $75 + t-shirt 
2nd Place:$50 + t-shirt 
3rd Place: $25 + t-shirt

The highest score from a first time submitter of Marathon Matches wins $50

Plus 10 additional t-shirts to randomly selected members who achieved a >0 score for the round.  

Prizes at Topcoder are open to those eligible for Topcoder prizes per the terms and conditions eligibility criteria.
