Members can track the status of their payments through the Payments page.
Our payment tracking tool (Wallet app) will display one of the following statuses:
On Hold: A payment may be put on hold for one of the following reasons:
On Hold (Tax Form)– Topcoder has not received a valid tax form from the member, including cases where the form is under review for TIN validation or has issues such as profile address mismatch, invalid TIN, or missing TIN (filling TIN is mandatory)
On Hold (Payment Provider)– The payment is on hold because the recipient has not yet set up a payment method.
On Hold (Admin)– The payment has been placed on hold by a Topcoder admin due to internal or compliance‑related reasons.
On Hold (ID Verification) - The payment is on hold because ID verification is missing or it’s expired.
Owed: This payment is ready to be paid. (A member can request the release of payment, after the payment release date)
Accruing: The total payable amount has not yet reached the minimum payout threshold of USD 25, so the payment continues to accumulate.
Failed: The payment failed due to invalid payout details, bank rejection, or payout method errors. The member should update their payment info and try again.
Cancelled: The payment has been cancelled and will not be processed further. This usually occurs if the payment was voided before being released or was made in error.
Processing: The payment has been released and is currently being processed by the payment provider. No action is required from the member at this stage.
Returned: The payment was sent from Topcoder wallet but was returned by the bank or payment provider (for example, due to incorrect bank details or account closure). The funds are returned to the Topcoder Wallet and the member need to update payout details before re‑initiating the payment.
Paid: Means Topcoder has sent the payment. Funds may take time to appear in the member’s account, depending on the payout bank partner.
Expired: The payment is no longer valid and will not be paid.
