October 29, 2020 The TCO20 Development & F2F Finals: A Preview of What’s to Come

After a year of online competitions, the stage is set for the Development and First2Finish (F2F) Finals as part of the 2020 Topcoder Open.

For Development, the competition is fierce this year with TCO17 champion birdofpreyru coming back to TCO Finals as a competitor and will be up against the reigning champion jiangliwu who has been on a winning streak since early 2019. The competition will take into account speed too as a factor this year for scoring which will make it the most interesting Development Finals ever!

I’m excited to see how Development Finalists compete, what is the competition format, what languages and IDEs the greats use, and much more.

TCO20 F2F Finals are going to be something to look out for as well. F2F with it’s Bug Races format and of experienced lineup: cyberjag, neonray, cunhavictor and ouyangki and reigning champion veshu makes the competition more exciting than ever.

cyberjag is coming back to TCO Finals as a competitor after 9 years, with decades of software development experience, F2F competitions will be like a cakewalk for him. Giving him equal competition will be veshu with several TCO Finals experiences and a championship title from last year. While odds are with them we cannot rule out ouyangki who has the experience needed to be a champion. Also looking at the recent performances of the first time finalists  Ansary ,yoution, harishchennupa, xxcxy and cunhavictor and returning finalist neonray this will be an exciting competition to watch out for.
