May 1, 2018 Design Month is Back and Better Than Ever!

It’s officially one of our favorite months of the year – May and Design Month! Last year’s inaugural Design Month was pretty amazing. We had prizes, workshops, fun challenges, and more awesome content then we could even fit on our blog! This year, don’t expect anything less!

What’s Happening for 2018 Design Month?

So much we can barely keep track of it all! Let’s break it down for you.

Workshop Wednesdays

Workshop Wednesdays are back! Every Wednesday in May, starting next week, will be a live workshop with our creative geniuses at Topcoder including tgerring, adroc, and high-def. Plus we’ll have special guests, learning opportunities, and some live feedback sessions. Mark your calendars for our Workshop Wednesdays (links for these chats to be shared soon or just visit the Topcoder dashboard on the day of the event):

Fun Challenges

Not one but two fun challenges are coming your way this month plus another new, exciting challenge will kick off this month. The first challenge – and boy it’s a doozy – is live right now. Seriously, this fun challenge is the bees knees and we need lots of submissions. Go have some fun!
Another fun challenge will be announced in 2 weeks!

So Much Great Content

The Topcoder blog is going to be pumped with some pretty awesome things. Go to the blog and subscribe now in case you don’t already because you won’t want to miss a thing.

Designer Awards

Have you voted? If not, this is the time! We’re doing design member superlatives. So much fun, right? Go here and vote for your favorites for each category. All the award winners will be announced on our final Workshop Wednesday.

Oh, Let’s Not Forget the TCO Thing…

The Topcoder Open (TCO) Indonesia Regional Design Event is officially announced! Join us on August 11-12, 2018 back at our favorite hotel in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Registration will open closer to the event, but get your plans in place now. We want you to be there!
Did you know that the past few years at our TCO Indonesia Regional Design Event we’ve had people win trips to the TCO in the USA? I’m not promising we’re doing that again but I’m not not promising either! Be there if you can.

Oh And The Other TCO Thing…

Back by popular demand, we are bringing two chances to WIN A TRIP TO THE TCO18 INDONESIA REGIONAL DESIGN EVENT! Compete for the month of May, earn TCO points and the overall top point earner and the newbie top point earner from May wins the trip. Check out all the details here and best of luck!
As I said, Design Month is going to be nuts! We hope you make every effort to be a part of all of these things plus some possible surprises to come!
