The goal of this challenge is to design the look and feel of a native iPhone experience.

Problem: Writer Wand
Ideas usually strike writers in the middle of unexpected situations such as taking a shower, walking down the street, commuting, during dreams, etc. We are looking to tackle this problem by providing writers (or anyone) with a mobile application to capture these fleeting thoughts. The user will benefit from a lightning-quick mechanism to capture brief notes, voice, or video about any idea the user might be having. There are additional features for an application like this where the application could quickly analyze and look up related content to your idea and the ability for you to organize your rapid thoughts. In this challenge, we are focused on the idea capture experience.

Design Challenge: Idea Capture Experience
User flow (screens are up to you) to capture:
  • User has an idea
  • The user grabs their iPhone to capture the thought as quickly as possible
  • Does the user open the app? Does the user have a widget on the screen available for quick note-taking?
  • Does the user talk to the app (voice)?
  • Does the user scribble something?
  • Does the app suggest anything to the user?
  • Does the user tag or catalog the idea?
  • Once a note has been captured, the user receives a confirmation notification.

Note: You have 30 minutes, so make the most of it.
