Challenge Overview
We have run a Marathon challenge (https://www.topcoder.com/challenges/30094383) to conduct OCR using Google Vision API. We would like to see if we can further improve the test scores.
Task Details
Please read the previous Marathon challenge statement for the background and download the training and testing sets there.
We also provide the 1st and 2nd solutions from the Marathon challenge. One of the possible improvements could be doing an ensemble of these two solutions. The two solutions can be found in the forum of this code challenge.
We will follow the same evaluation metric in the Marathon challenge.
Final Submission Guidelines
Submission
The submission should follow the same format as the Marathon challenge. In addition, you should include the document detailing all your change logs.
Judging Criteria
Winners will be determined based on the following aspects:

Model Effectiveness (60%)

The testing score must be higher than the 1st place solution of the previous Marathon challenge.

The higher testing score, the better.

Model Feasibility (20%)
-
Your model must be easy to run, in terms of both training and testing.

The inference must be able to run without a re-training.

Clarity of the Report (20%)
-
Please clearly document your solution and changes.
