Challenge Summary

Welcome to Land O’Lakes – NutraBlend Redesign Challenge!

We would like to update both the design and development of http://nutrablend.net/, a public facing website that promotes products for Nutra Blend LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary within the Land O’ Lakes. Nutra Blend LLC manufactures micro ingredients such as quality vitamin, trace mineral, and antibiotic premixes for the feed manufactures across the United States of America, this includes (Large Co-ops /Small Co-Ops /Integrators/Family owned business etc.)

Challenge Description:
The purpose of this website is to give addition information to current customers , potential customers and key influencers  information about the products and services that NutraBlend provides.

We are looking for the [topcoder] design Community to help us with planning our new "user experience" (UX).

Notes:
- Desktop: Design for display 1280px and height as required.
- Mobile: Design for display 750px x 1334px.
- Make sure you create graphic in 'shape' format, so when we resize graphics will still look sharp!
- Feel free to suggest any tools/functions that can bring good User Experience for this tool.

Design Requirements:
- The web site design will need to be clean and professional while structuring the information to be easily browsed by customers.  Design should remain consistent across all sub-pages. 
- Website needs to include a strong search function.
- Design must meet the A conformance level of WCAG 2.0 guidelines.
- Design will need to be responsive to desktop, tablet and smart phone.

- We need a general content page where we can have text and images.

Desired Website Details:
- The home page should highlight NutraBlend’s expertise,
- Incorporate the design elements from the brand logos, packaging, photography and point-of-purchase materials.
- The web site design will need to be clean and well organized while incorporating the services that NutraBlend Offers, such as Online Ordering, ASN labelling and Customer Rewards Program. Some fun and whimsy could be added to make the user feel more comfortable and “at home”.
- The website should have a way to promote regular programs that NutraBlend runs  - example , Geography kids is a program that the team would like to promote with videos / pics etc.
- Newsletter – Monthly and Achieved.
- Products Tab – should be able to sort by type of product /supplier. (Current site does not have this tab, so we are looking for your suggestions on how this should work and look like)

- Anyone seeking information on the products and services that Nutra Blend provides- Large Co-ops /Small Co-Ops /Integrators/Family owned business etc
- Our vision has expanded from that time to include not only premixing, but the distribution of micro-ingredients, and the other ingredients needed to manufacture feed in today's highly technical industry.
- We provide nutritional support to our customers for:

Judging Criteria:
- Overall User Experience.
- Completeness and accuracy of the designs as defined in requirements.
- How well your designs provide a consistent user flow.
- How well your designs captures all the requirements.
- Any suggestions, interactions and user flows you recommend (provide any notes or comments for the client).

Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files. 

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered PSD file, or Adobe Illustrator as a layered AI file.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

How To Submit

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
