Challenge Overview

Join Appirio copiloting a current project developing a custom mobile application for Android & iOS phone devices.  The application will be a hybrid app preferably using Phone Gap.  Appiro's customer, Calix Inc., needs a customer facing mobile app for accessing SalesForce backend for tracking hardware and software requests.  The app would be the mobile version of their Service Station Portal for customers.  In the app, users can view their service cases, open a new technical support case, request access to software, and request a return materials authorization.  Key technical aspects of the app are the ability to scan product barcodes for populating product information in the app for product lookups.  The app will also allow the customer to attach photos to a case to upload back to SalesForce.  Integration of Google Analytics for app engagement tracking and integration with a 3rd party authorization service (an existing REST service) will also be required.

All data will be served from a Salesforce.com backend and updates/edits to cases will be pushed back to Salesforce.com.  Some REST web service development and integration will be needed. 

The goal of the app is to reduce the time cases remain open in the system, and to enable Calix to start providing utilities in the mobile space.
