Challenge Summary
The goal of this project is to design and implement a small web application that will access the 5500 series instruments and display the results.
The attached documents explain the requirements for web application . This web application can be used to monitor various metrics for the runs on 5500 series instruments. The goal is to have the operators/users of the instrument to quickly access the relevant data for their runs and monitor progress. The user interface architecture is designed such that a user can access relevant information for a current run on an instrument by drilling down up to three levels - Cluster, Instrument ,Run.
Round 1
For milestone review, you must submit a full solution which addreses all the requirements with the 1024 px and wider screens. We will choose 3 milestone winners, each one will get $50 milestone prize and provide general feedbacks to all submission and specific feedback to each milestone winner submission.
Round 2
In the final round, you will submit the full submission with the 1024 px and wider screens which is improved and revised based on the provided feedbacks in round one.
We're looking to polish the look and feel of the provided wireframes, and please also go through the provided conceptualization document to get better idea of what the system does. All pages in the wireframes are in scope.
NOTE we also want the app to look good on ipad (ipad1/ipad2/the new ipad) so when desiging the pages you must take this into account. If that means different layout on ipad1/ipad2 (probably not the new ipad because its resolution is better than most monitors and you may simply treat it as a good PC monitor with high resolution) that's fine, the focus here is it must look good and work well on ipad1/ipad2 (which has low resolution) as well as on PC monitors.
