Challenge Overview
This is a quick challenge to get a sample Ruby app working on Heroku.
ONLYOFFICE™ is a popular cloud business service that enables you to manage projects, customer relations and documents in one place. They've published a bunch of examples for online editors for various languages. For this challenge, we are interested in having this application run successfully on Heroku.
Steps
1) Clone this repo - https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/DocumentServer. We are interested in deploying this sample Ruby app on Heroku - https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/DocumentServer/tree/master/OnlineEditorsExample/OnlineEditorsExampleRuby
2) Make changes as required to deploy to Heroku. We tried it but ran into some database errors.
3) Ensure that you're able to view, edit and save documents on the Heroku instance.
Note that this Heroku app will then be used in subsequent challenges to build a Canvas app for implementing inline editing of documents within Salesforce.
Final Submission Guidelines
Please submit a zip file containing the following
- Deployment Guide with changes done, link to your github fork and your Heroku instance
- Zipped source code
- Make sure to grant access to github user talesforce on your forked repo for verification
