THE CHALLENGE

Fast-growing businesses need website experiences that can keep up. When Thomson & Litton, a design and engineering firm based in Radford, Virginia, wanted to update their online presence, they turned to Topcoder for help. Decision makers received and reviewed close to 20 designs from Topcoder designers, before narrowing it down to 3 and then selecting a winner. The winning design was developed and deployed in just under a month.

MULTIPLE CONCEPTS, ONE WINNING DESIGN

Making the switch from working one-on-one with a designer to a crowdsourced competition model took some getting used to. Unlike the personal relationships typical in consulting, Topcoder’s design community brought in perspectives and ideas from competitors around the globe. This access to broader resources created more options, and allowed for exploration of ideas that resulted in a beautiful final design.
