Do you love tech events? Love hackathons even more? Well, we have some pretty sweet news for you!

Cisco Live is taking place next week, May 18-22, 2014 in San Francisco, and our very own Chief Community Officer, David Messinger aka [mess] will be a celebrity guest judge in their DevNet Zone Hackathon. That’s right, the man, the myth, the legend, will be dropping knowledge on swarms of individuals and teams competing for the grand prize. (I hear he is the Randy Jackson of hackathon judges, so don’t be too intimidated).

Not only will [topcoder] be very well represented at the event, we are also able to extend an invitation to any of our members who want to attend. The price is $49 and is well worth it!

Cisco Live attendees can visit the [topcoder] booth to learn about Cisco developer challenges around APIs and services across CMX (Cisco Mobility Experience), Jabber (and collaboration tools), and Cisco Support Community (CSC). The DevNet Zone also has a whole slew of activities throughout the duration of the event, including sponsor booths, “Ask the Experts”, theater sessions and much more. You’ll even be able to get insight in some upcoming challenges Cisco will be running on [topcoder]. Who doesn’t love a head start?
