We’re offering up to $4,500 in prizes, simply for you to tell us something that we don’t know!
Bankers First Community Insurance, part of the Bankers Insurance Group, is a new client of topcoder. They provide a variety of insurance products for residential and commercial properties, such as dwelling, fire and flood insurance.
They have a problem though – in five southern American states they can’t find sufficient property data to do adequate risk evaluation to properly price and offer policies. What they’re looking for is pretty simple – just some basic facts about a given property, such as how large it is, and when it was built.
That’s where you come in – all you need to do is point us to possible datasets that Bankers can use, and if it helps, you’ll win! We’re even interested in sources where the data has to be extracted; for instance doing some type of data extraction on satellite imagery.
Participating is easy – you only need to submit a free form document telling us about the dataset. Obviously the more you can tell us about the data, for example how to get it, how to use it, any licensing considerations, and so on, the better. This information will help us evaluate your idea. Even better, you can submit as many ideas as you like!
Full details can be found on the contest detail page. Good Luck!
