Competition Reposts and New Versions of Components

Hi All,

Just want to give you a quick update on a couple things that were added to Cockpit tonight.

1 . Any contest that is in a “failed” state (i.e. cancelled – blah, blah) will have a “Repost” option in the dropdown next to the contest. It’ll prompt you when you select it to confirm that you want to repost and tells you no additional fee is applied (the contest fee will be zero) . It copies the original contest with a start date of today + 48 hours. The contest will be in “draft” status. At that point you can treat it just like you would a new contest.
** This does not include Studio contests. Studio reposts should still be treated as new contests.

2 . You can create new versions of components in basically the same way you do the repost. Any component design or dev contest that is complete will have the options in the dropdown to create a new version of the design and/or dev. It will create a copy of the original contest and leaves the new contest in “draft” status. At that point you can treat it just like you would a new contest.

3. If you run into any issues please let us know. So that we can handle issues with some sort of order, please email them to internal-support@topcoder.com.
