When you see an accident, suspicious behavior, or even a pothole, it's not always clear how or where to file a report.

Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH), which provides consulting, technology, and engineering services to the U.S. Government, wanted to design and build an application that empowers every citizen with a mobile device. They envisioned an app that would deliver fast access to area information, as well as enable users to report and track issues with municipalities.

BAH teamed up with Topcoder to create 311 Incident Report, an iOS app built with Swift and backed by the power of Salesforce Service Cloud. 311 app users can report public issues from anywhere and map other issues in the vicinity, including detailed descriptions and videos captured on mobile devices.

In order to ensure fast responses, the 311 app alerts the entity responsible based on the issue classification, and users can get updates on the go or comment on other issues. Forget calling in a superhero to save they day; this app does it all right from the palm of your hand.
