When you wish to increase the prize for a given contest you would need to follow the following steps:

Locate the project in question

In the project locate the specific contest

On the specific contest page you will see an editable “Prizes” widget. You will notice an “Edit” option in the upper right corner of the widget. When you press this all the prize options become available to be edited.

Note, it is a very good idea to also tell the competitors in the specific forum that the prize has been increased as many of them will have “watch” notifications setup for any new forums posts and will becomes aware of the added incentive.

There are two options for monitoring the forums and their activities (i.e. posts)

You can do this either by monitoring Forum Activity indicator in Contest Dashboard,

Opt-in “Watch Forum” feature. Note that this is a much more efficient and robust of the two options wince it allows you to utilize the email reader you have to give you real-time notifications from the forum posts and thus you will not be required to constantly look into the forums to see if there were any posts.

A new version of a contest will produce a new version of a product, which will include new features and enhancements. All versions exist simultaneously. For example, existing component, Logging Wrapper has many versions for competitors to download. The competitors can have their own choices.

In Cockpit, you can post new version of a contest in three easy steps:

A pop-up window will be shown. Click Yes to continue.

Then you will be asked whether this new version is major or minor one. Choose the one that fits best.

Wait for a few seconds. Then a pop-up window will be shown.

If you want to edit it, click Edit button. You will be able to edit details of the new version.
