There are few topics in America and the world over that drum up as much passion and emotion as Healthcare and wellness. Politically, economically and socially, healthcare is a lightning rod for opinionated commentary. Regardless of what side of the aisle you profess from, we all desire better. Thankfully innovative mobile and tablet applications are providing just what the doctor ordered.
The road to better is paved with disruptive innovation and that often has roots in the re-envisioning of the user interface & experience (UI/UX). In the past several years, no single “thing” has been more disruptive than applications built upon the mobile smart-phone and tablet device. It has changed the very way we access and share everything. Coinciding with the birth of the app, another disruptive boom has forever changed the innovation landscape and that is of course the advent of Open Innovation & Crowdsourcing platforms.

Mobile applications are an amazing way to change a user’s experience and therefore behavior. Open Innovation and Crowdsourcing is an amazing way to cultivate the brand new ideas that shape the disruptive UI/UX mobile experience. So, it’s only natural that innovators, corporations and governments have put these two disruptive forces together in the past.
