Beyond Open Innovation 101 – How Productivity is Accomplished on Platforms
I was filtering through a Details magazine recently and in the span of 4 or so pages – after opening and smelling the new fragrance from Polo of course – I saw the terms “crowdsourcing” and “power of crowds” in two separate articles on mobile technology & apps, in a print magazine that focuses on Men’s fashion and wellness. If this isn’t the final proof point to showcase that crowdsourcing and terms such as Open Innovation have fully arrived, I’m not sure what would be.
When terms go “mainstream”, it is time for YOU to push your understanding of the space and continue your education within it. If everyone is chatting crowdsourcing & Open Innovation in truly non-granular fashion, wouldn’t it be valuable to go deeper? Wouldn’t it benefit you to understand how real work, productivity and innovation is accomplished through a global community in greater detail?
You can continue grabbing your tidbits from magazines featuring odor-infused flaps… OR … You can go to the source who has been hosting online Open Innovation competitions for over a decade and understand how real corporations are utilizing a global community to get an incredible amount of innovative work accomplished.
